NDMA Issues 72-Hour Weather Alert as Heavy Rain and Flood Risks Rise

NDMA has issued a 72-hour weather advisory as heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected across parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Authorities have warned of possible flash flooding, landslides, debris flows, rising river levels and urban flooding in vulnerable areas. Rawalpindi and Islamabad may also see increased flow in Nullah Lai following intense rainfall.

Residents, especially those in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to remain alert, avoid unnecessary travel near rivers and streams, and follow official safety instructions.
