🚨 CSS 2027 Age Limit & Attempts to Remain Unchanged

Pakistan’s Establishment Division has rejected proposals to relax the CSS examination rules for 2027, keeping the maximum age limit at 30 years and the number of attempts at three.

A parliamentary committee had recommended increasing the age limit to 35 years and allowing five attempts, but the Establishment Division described the proposals as impractical.

Officials cited concerns over rising candidate numbers, examination and evaluation pressures, longer preparation periods, and shorter effective service for older entrants.

The decision also highlights concerns that a higher age limit could favor financially privileged candidates who can afford several years of CSS preparation.
