Gold Rate in Pakistan Today: Gold Prices Fall Further on September 25, 2026

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward movement as the local bullion market recorded another significant decline. According to the latest rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs5,600 per tola, bringing the latest rate to Rs448,336 per tola. The decline came as international gold prices also moved lower, putting pressure on the domestic market.
The price of 24-karat gold for 10 grams also decreased by Rs4,801, reaching Rs384,375. This latest decline extends the recent weakness in Pakistan's gold market, where prices have been moving lower alongside international bullion prices. The APGJSA figures are generally used as the benchmark for domestic gold rates, although the final price offered by individual jewellers can vary.
Why Is Gold Getting Cheaper in Pakistan?
The latest decline is closely connected to the international gold market. Gold bullion prices fell by around $56 per ounce, reaching approximately $4,258 per ounce in the market data cited by the APGJSA. Reports also linked the international decline to factors including a stronger US dollar, higher oil prices and expectations surrounding US interest rates.
A stronger US dollar can put pressure on gold because the precious metal is internationally priced in dollars. When the dollar strengthens, gold becomes relatively more expensive for buyers using other currencies, which can reduce demand. Higher bond yields can also make interest-bearing assets more attractive compared with gold, which does not generate interest income.
Gold Price Has Declined Sharply in Recent Sessions
The latest reduction follows several consecutive declines in the Pakistani market. Earlier this week, gold was trading at Rs453,936 per tola after losing Rs1,800. Before that, the rate had reached Rs455,736, while gold had also experienced a substantial increase earlier in September before beginning its recent decline. The recent movement shows how quickly gold prices can change in Pakistan. International bullion prices, currency movements and domestic market conditions all contribute to the rate announced by the Sarafa association.
What Is the Current Silver Rate?
Silver has also followed the downward trend in the precious-metals market. According to the latest APGJSA figures, silver declined by Rs171 per tola, bringing its domestic price to Rs6,837 per tola. The price of 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs147 to Rs5,861.The simultaneous decline in gold and silver reflects the broader weakness seen in international precious-metals markets.
What Does the Latest Gold Rate Mean for Buyers?
For Pakistani consumers, the latest rate means that the benchmark price of 24-karat gold is now Rs448,336 per tola. However, people purchasing jewellery should remember that the final amount can be higher than the quoted bullion rate because jewellers may add making charges and other costs.
The APGJSA rate should therefore be treated as a market benchmark rather than a guaranteed final retail price. Business Recorder also notes that open-market prices can differ from the association's announced rates because of differences related to exchange-rate calculations and individual market conditions.
The direction of gold prices in Pakistan will continue to depend heavily on international bullion prices and currency-market movements. Changes in US monetary policy expectations, the strength of the dollar, Treasury yields, oil prices and geopolitical developments can all influence international gold demand and, consequently, Pakistan's domestic market.
