Pakistani athlete Danish Elahi has made the country proud by setting a new national record at the 42.195 km race in an outstanding time of 3 hours, 29 minutes and 7 seconds at Sydney Marathon held on August 31, 2026.

According to reports, Elahi finished the full marathon as the fastest Pakistani runner in the event’s history, marking a major milestone for long-distance running in Pakistan.

On the women’s side, Dr Rabia Naeem recorded a time of 3 hours, 52 minutes and 25 seconds, making her the fastest Pakistani woman at the event.
